The Best 5 Crypto News Sites (2026 Update)
The cryptocurrency world is constantly changing, and as such, it’s important to find a cryptocurrency news site you can trust. Unfortunately, with the rise of AI, we’ve witnessed several crypto news sites replacing informed articles with AI-generated lies. As such, it was time we update our previous list to exclude these sites.
We recommend utilizing CoinDesk, Crypto News, and The Block for all your cryptocurrency research needs. While there are a few other websites we recommend, the ones above tend to give the best information. Keep reading to learn more about the best crypto news sites.

1. CoinDesk
CoinDesk was our top crypto news site in 2024, and it continues to retain its position. Run by the Bullish group, which follows strict ethical journalism policies, you can ensure you receive the best non-AI affected news from their site.
They’ve been in the business for a long time, and we love the speed at which they keep up with the news. Although their articles sometimes leave us wanting to know more, we know there are humans behind the news, and they update articles only after sources have been verified.
2. Crypto News
Crypto News was another site we listed in 2024, which has since moved from position three up into position two. This is mostly because we cannot find Coin Telegraph anymore except on social sites, indicating they either went under or were bought by a different company.
While Crypto News does, unfortunately, use AI for images, their articles sound as if they have been written by a human, and we haven’t found any glaring inconsistencies yet. But keep in mind that while this website is a good source of crypto news now, that may not continue to be the case—especially if they increase their AI usage beyond just images.
3. The Block
The Block is another long-standing crypto news site coming from our 2024 article, moving from spot four into spot three. Like with Crypto News, this bump was automatic. The Block is an independent news site, which we love because its articles don’t skew toward one political party or the other. The only reason they aren’t higher on the list is that their volume is a bit lower, and we often find ourselves wanting more.
That being said, there’s a strong chance that in two years, Crypto News is no longer on the list and in that case, The Block will be number two. Unlike Crypto News, they’ve kept their hands out of AI, using weird image editing for article images instead. Why aren’t they the best, at least they give us confidence that their news articles aren’t inundated with AI.
**We also want to mention that if you are a crypto trader, The Block is probably the best choice for you, as the bulk of their articles are trading news; they just don’t offer as many current event updates as other sites.
4. Decrypt
Decrypt wasn’t in our 2024 article, however it is a new site we find ourselves turning to more and more. While they don’t have as many groundbreaking stories, and their posts are more delayed than others on this list (i.e., posting a day after events happen), we find they dive far deeper than any other site on this list and truly explain things.
If the site skews in a certain direction we haven’t noticed, and they offer so many useful guides that we’ve used to deepen our own cryptocurrency knowledge. While Decrypt uses mostly photos for article images, we do think we spot a few that appear to be AI. Still, all the news articles appear human-written, and we trust this site to report on news with a human touch.
That being said, all the pricing info on their site comes from CoinGecko, a site you won’t find on this list because we’ve discovered the token profiles are AI-generated. This has led to incorrect information in their coin profiles, which can be proven fake with a quick cross-check (we’ve done it ourselves), so we hope Decrypt won’t rely on them for token information beyond the price.
5. BeInCrypto
BeInCrypto is another new addition to our list, and they are a direct competitor of Decrypt. They advertise that they provide unbiased crypto news, and we find that their articles offer a large range of crypto topics. They’re decently fast with new releases; however, their news articles don’t go very deep at all, and while they sound human-written for the most part, we do have a few concerns about possible AI usage. Therefore, they are at the bottom of this list, though we do still find them useful from time to time.
We especially love that BeInCrypto employs a large team of journalists and editors from around the world, so while they may use occasional AI art (and we have some concerns about AI-sounding editing), we do believe their translations are done by humans, and they are a decent source of crypto news.

News Sites We Don’t Use Anymore
1. Twitter
Many individuals list Twitter or Reddit as reliable news sources, but that is no longer the case. We find more and more that the average individual in these spaces can’t tell the difference between fake news and real news, and AI usage has run rampant—leading to massive spreads of misinformation. We urge those getting their crypto news from social media to stop.
2. News.Bitcion.com
Nothing against the News.Bitcoin.com website, as they still have good trading information for individuals, however they have veered away from writing traditional news stories and are therefore not of use to us anymore. But if you are a crypto day trader, check them out.
3. Binance News
We still love Binance as a trading platform, they haven’t focused on investing money in their news platform, and that’s okay. While you can still get news here, it’s more like tweets, and it just really isn’t enough information for us. However, if you just want sentence-length updates rather than news stories, we would urge you to choose the Binance News feed over social media.
